The Event was officially launch by Ms. Azra Khan (ACT Government, Director Office of Multicultural Affairs; Hon. Elizabeth Kikkert (ACT Member of Legislative Assembly); Associate Professor Nicole Haley (The Australian National University, Convenor of State, Society and Governance in Melanesia program)

Also in attendance were dignitaries from the diplomatic corp (H.E. Colin Beck High Commissioner Solomon Islands; PNG embassy); leaders and community members of the Tongan, Samoan, Papua New Guinea, Fijian and various other associations.
